Engr. Bayo Adeola

Engr. Bayo Adeola had his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Lagos in 1975 and his master’s degree in civil engineering hydraulics from Imperial College London in 1978. He attended the Chief Executive Program at the Lagos Business School in 1996 and became a certified project manager with the USA based Project Management Institute in 1997. He regularly teaches project management and has been a facilitator at the LBS since 1994.

He had his youth service with WRECA in Kano and was thereafter employed by Adeyemi Ogundipe & Partners where he worked for 22 years and as a partner from 1984 to 1997. In December 1997, Engr Adeola voluntarily retired from AOP, and established a wholly project management company, Comprehensive Project Management Services Limited, with which he is now identified. He retired as the Managing Director of CPMS in December 2016 and is now its chairman.

Engr Adeola has since 1995 been an active member of the Association of Consulting Engineers Nigeria, ACEN, serving as its honorary secretary from 1997 to 2000 and its President from 2008 to 2009. He also served as GAMA secretary from 2001 to 2003, and on the FIDIC executive committee from 2003 to 2007.

He is an author of two books, ‘Engineering Is Development’ which chronicled the development of ACEN and engineering in Nigeria and ‘Our collective responsibility’ which presents the challenges of development in Ogun State of Nigeria.

Engr Kadri Adebayo Adeola, a strong advocate of reform in the Construction industry, is a fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering; fellow, Nigerian Society of Engineers; Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Structural Engineers and is registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN.

Engr Adeola serves on the board of Fate Foundation, a not for profit organization focused on the development of entrepreneurship, Guaranty Trust Bank, Vitapur Nigeria Limited and Parthian Partners. He was chairman of Kresta Laurel Limited from 2003 to 2013.
