Now in its third year, the Africa Oil & Gas Talent Summit (AOGS) took place on 11th & 12th October at the Ibis Styles Hotel, Accra, Ghana.

Hosted by His Excellency, President Nana Akufo-Addo, AOGS 2017 was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy, Ghana, Baker HughesGE (West & Central Africa), Petroleum Commission, Ghana; Energia, Nigeria; Seplat, Nigeria; Sri Emas, Ghana; OGTAN, NIBS, and a host of others.

Welcoming attendees from across several national and international oil companies, AOGS once again stated its position as the continent's premier event for people and performance excellence in the Energy sector; which is key as the industry continues to take important strides forward.

Highlights

The programme examined the strategic imperatives for Africa Oil & Gas in a lower-for-longer price scenario using a CEO Panel comprising CEOs from Africa's Energy industry and beyond.
Proceedings were led by an opening keynote delivered by Baker HughesGE on "Organising for Digital Workplace Transformation-Global Best Practices for Africa"and a host of other exciting events.

Awards

The AOGS Life Patron awards went to His Excellency, President Akufo Addo of Ghana, for his contribution towards the growth of the Energy sector.
The Africa Oil Industry Awards for Innovation & Change Leadership went to Doyin Akinyanju (CEO, Baker Hughes GE, West & Central Africa) & Austin Avuru (CEO, Seplat Petroleum Development Company.

Networking

Delegates particularly enjoyed the opportunity to have purposeful business meetings with fellow participants through a series of one-to-one meetings at the conference.
